The North Dakota Association of Nonprofit
Organizations (NDANO) serves its members and the
North Dakota nonprofit sector by:

Advocating for the sector,

Working to strengthen the sector’s public
policy voice,

Promoting awareness of the important role of
nonprofits in society,

Providing training, resources and support to
nonprofits,

Offering cost-saving member programs for products
and services,

Encouraging best practices for nonprofit

Facilitating networking and collaboration among
nonprofits and with government and the private
sector.
MEET a MEMBER
Experience Works
operates the Senior Community Service Employment
Program (SCSEP) authorized under Title V of the
Older Americans Act Amendments of 2006 in 30 states
and Puerto Rico. Last year, Experience Works served
659 North Dakotans. 329,802 hours were spent serving
the community, adding $2,160,203 in wages and new
monies to North Dakota communities. People in the
program received job assistance, computer training
and JobClub classes.

Jan. 27 –
Nonprofits, elections and the Supreme Court’s
recent decision – The U.S. Supreme Court
recently issued a decision in
Citizens United v.
Federal Election Commission
(decided January 21, 2010) that has confused
some writers who are not as familiar with the
important legal distinctions between different
types of "nonprofits" that exist or with the
differences between federal election laws
that the Court changed and tax laws that
the Court did not change.
